Google can build an AI-generated podcast from your Discover feed. Daily Listen summarizes search terms you've indicated interest in in about five minutes.

An experimental AI function that uses your Search and Discover feed history to generate a customized podcast is being tested by Google. According to 9to5Google, Google's Search Labs' Daily Listen tool, which functions similarly to Google's NotebookLM project's Audio Overviews feature, is now available to US Android and iOS users.

In order to determine which news stories would be most interesting to the user, Daily Listen analyzes search data and Discover feed interactions. It then condenses those stories and subjects into an audio summary that lasts about five minutes. In addition to audio scrubber controls that let users play, pause, mute, rewind, or jump to the next narrative, it offers a text transcript.

Daily Listen is located in the customized widget carousel beneath the Search bar at the top of the Google app for Search Labs users who choose to participate in this trial. Users can explore new themes and give each tale a thumbs up or down by selecting the "Related stories" option at the bottom of the audio player that matches to the content in the overview.

When or if this feature will be made available to the general public is presently unknown. Daily Listen might eventually become a permanent feature, ideally one that is simpler to opt out of, since Google's AI Search Overviews were tested similarly through Search Labs prior to being made available to the general public last  See More ..............
